*Our Christian Value for the term*

Our Christian value for this term is Trust.

Trust is the very essence of faith; trust in the God who is trustworthy.

Trust is essential to human life and lies at the heart of all relationships. Trust an mean putting yourself in others’ hands. We have to trust experts - pilots, dentists, surgeons – and our wonderful teachers, teaching assistants and all of our St Faith’s family, and be trustworthy ourselves.

John 14:1 (Jesus’ words to his disciples)

‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.’

 *Our Learning for this term*

Summer Term 1 2026

This term, the children will be blasting off into an exciting space-themed adventure, inspired by The Smeds and the Smoos and a range of other wonderful stories. Their learning will be filled with imagination, exploration and discovery as they journey beyond our world!

To begin the term, the children will explore themes of difference and tolerance, learning that we are all unique and special in our own ways. They will also learn about the celebration of Eid and how it is celebrated by Muslims around the world.

As the term continues, the children will dive deeper into the world of space. They will learn about the moon landing, the solar system and what it might be like to travel into space. Through a range of creative activities, the children will design and build rockets, create space-themed artwork inspired by artists, and even make their own space suits for toys!

The children will also take part in a very special planetarium experience, where they will explore the wonders of space in an immersive and engaging way.

Throughout the term, there will be lots of opportunities for imaginative play, including space role play, building rockets, and even going on a picnic… on the moon! The children will continue to develop their maths skills through practical activities such as counting “moon rocks” and solving space-themed problems.

We will also be focusing on important life skills such as road safety and keeping safe, helping the children to make sensible choices both in and out of school.

It’s set to be a fantastic term full of creativity, curiosity and cosmic adventures!
