Safeguarding Information and Policies

Child Protection

Parents should be aware that the school is required to take any reasonable action to safeguard it's pupils. In cases where the school has reason to be concerned that a child may be subject to ill- treatment, neglect or other forms of abuse, the Headteacher is obliged to follow the Child Protection procedures established by the Lincolnshire County Council and Lincolnshire Children’s Safeguarding Board and inform the Children’s Services of the concern.

When the school refers a concern about a child to the Children’s Services, it is not accusing anyone but requesting that further investigation takes place to establish whether a child is at risk.

Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass is a police and education early information-sharing partnership enabling immediate support to children who have experienced domestic abuse.

The educational settings’ Operation Encompass Key Adult (designated safeguarding lead) will be notified about ALL police-attended incidents of domestic abuse before the start of the next school day. This allows the education setting to offer timely support to the child victims.

Operation Encompass has been placed on a statutory footing and is established in all police forces in England and Wales. Operation Encompass includes ALL educational settings.

We are an Operation Encompass school.
