Talk for Writing begins its journey in Year 1. Throughout the year, the children focus on a range of different stories whilst developing both their transcription and composition skills. The learning will be supported by short burst writing activities that are both fiction and non-fiction. The skills the children learn will be transferred into other areas of the curriculum as we aim to develop their love of writing. 

We also continue to develop our story telling and begin Adventure Club, that builds on the Drawing Club approach used in Reception.
