Our writing skills progress as our children move up the school. 

In Reception we use Drawing Club as our approach, with a large focus on transcription skills, alongside our compostion. Transcriptional skills include both phonics teaching and also handwriting. Compostional skills involves innovating and in Reception this begins orally.

In Key Stage One, our approach is Talk for Writing as the children continue to develop both their transcription and composition skills in writing.
