External advice and Professionals used in the school

Which professionals do we use for specialist advice?

  • Currently, Lincolnshire County Council do not have any Educational Psychologists.  However, the school is able to access private EP’s (budget dependable).
  • The Specialist Teaching Team are available to carry out assessments of learning needs (this is a ‘buy in’ service).
  • The school can make referrals Speech and Language Therapy (SALT).
  • Mrs Adele Sheriff (from the Working Together Team) works with staff to help them support children with Autism or Social Communication difficulties. Adele may also come into school to carry out observations on pupils (parental consent is always sought).
  • BOSS (Behavioural Support Services) are able to offer support for children with behavioural needs.  They also provide training sessions for staff.
  • Mrs Palmer regularly consults with medical professionals, including Specialist Nurse Trainers, to support Health Care Plans in school for children with specific medical needs.
  • School can access support from the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Team (CAMHS) along with Healthy Minds.
  • School can also make referrals for counselling through Lincoln Centre of Grief and Loss (LCGL).
