Summer 1
How is it the Summer term already? The year is flying by for my amazing Butterflies and are looking forward to an exciting term ahead. We will making the most of our beautiful outdoors with a range of different activities including growing, bug hunting, the mud kitchen and water play. This will continue to be an extension of our classroom with many learning challenges both indoors and outdoors.
In phonics we are moving on to Letters and Sounds Phase 4, learning to segment and blend words with adjacent consonants whilst continuing to practise all of our Phase 3 sounds. This will be transferred into our writing where we continue Talk for Writing. This half term we are focusing on the story 'The Sleepy Bumblebee'. We are amazing writers and with exciting daily writing jobs we are getting even better! In Maths we are continuing to develop our understanding of number and apply this to different practical problems.
It is going to be a busy and fun filled term, full of learning and smiles and we can't wait!
