“Our inclusive St Faith’s family strives to enable all to achieve their full potential and inspire a community of hope and friendship. We seek excellence by ensuring a safe, respectful and flourishing learning community, where differences are celebrated and our genuine love and high expectations make a difference to all.” “Aspire not to have more, but to be more.” (Oscar Romero)

Friends Programme

The FRIENDS programme is not, as its name suggests, an intervention to support with friendship and social skills. It is actually an intervention to support with anxiety and depression. It is an acronym of;

  • Feelings (talk about your feelings and care about other people’s feelings)
  • Relax (do “milkshake” breathing, have some quiet time)
  • I can try ! (we can all try our best)
  • Encourage (step plans to happy home)
  • Nurture (quality time together doing fun activities)
  • Don’t forget – be brave! (practice skills everyday with friends /family)
  • Stay happy

In our St Faith's family we run 'Fun FRIENDS'. The intervention is completed over 12 sessions lasting approximately 1 hour each. The children benefit greatly from the sessions. feedback from both children and their parents has been extremely positive.
