Welcome to the Dragonflies!
The grown-ups in the Dragonflies class are Miss Weaving, Miss Semper and Mrs Parkinson.
We all love teaching the Dragonflies and we are so proud of their achievements!
If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you!
Our school value for this summer half term is 'trust.' We are learning all about what trust means to us in our St Faith's family. We are finding out how we can show that we are trustworthy, not only in our St Faith's family but beyond. Trust is essential to human life and lies at the heart of all relationships. Trust entails vulnerability, putting yourself in others’ hands. We have to trust experts - pilots, dentists, surgeons and be trustworthy ourselves.
We will understand why it is so important to show trust to others and to be trustworthy.
All of the children and adults in school will be recognising children who show that they have a clear understanding of how to trust others and how to show that they are trustworthy. They are rewarded and celebrated at the end of term in our special Values Celebration Worship.
Our Topic for this term is Castles. We will be learning about the different parts of a castle and what life might have been like to live in medieval times. In English we shall be writing non-chronological reports about castles, and our fictional writing is all based around the story of The Steadfast Tin Soldier. In topic work we are very excited to be constructing our very own structures and testing their strength, having a medieval banquet, designing our coats of arms, having a dress up day, a trip to Lincoln Castle and so much more. Check back later in the term or look at our Twitter page to see some of our learning.
Keep an eye out on our Twitter page @DragonfliesStF and weekly newsletters for regular updates on what we are up to.
