Honey Bees

Welcome to the Honey Bees!

Hello and welcome

*Meet the Honey Bee grown-ups*

The grown-ups in the Honey Bee class are Mrs Konrath, Mrs Lower and Mrs De'Ath. Mrs Konrath is the class teacher on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Lower is the teacher on a Thursday and Friday. Mrs De'Ath is the teaching assistant and is in the Honey Bees every day!

We all love teaching the Honey Bees and we are so proud of their achievements, every day!

In the Honey Bee class, Mrs Konrath, Mrs Lower and Mrs De'Ath choose someone to be the Honey Bee of the Day. This is a Honey Bee who has tried especially hard with their learning that day. The Honey Bee of the Day leads the class prayer at the end of the day, gives out reading folders at the end of the day and takes the register to the school office. We really enjoy the responsibility! The Honey Bees all try their best to be the Honey Bee of the Day - but equally, they are thrilled for whoever is chosen - and we hear cries of 'well done' from everyone!

Eventhough we are some of the youngest children in the school, we still enjoy having lots of responsibility, like taking the register to Miss White in the office, tidying away our toys and games, when we have finished playing with them and washing our own plates and cups from the Snack Bar. We also have inspectors to check each area of the classroom is tidy. Fabulous!

*How we learn in the Honey Bees!*

In Nursery and Reception, we have dinosaurs to help us to learn. Explorosaur is looking out for children who are exploring different areas of the classroom and finding new ways of doing things! If your child gets an Explorosaur sticker, ask them why they got it!

We also have our Tryosaurus! Tryosaurus is looking to see if we are trying our best and not giving up! If we do that, we get a Tryosaurus sticker! Hurrah!

*Our Learning this Week!*

We love learning in the Honey Bees!

The Honey Bees are loving our then of the Gruffalo this week! What a fabulous week we are having! The children have found clues to find out about the animals in the story. They have also been describing the Gruffalo. Wow! It has been AMAZING!

*Our Christian Value for the term*

Our school value this half term is 'Justice' so we are discussing how we can show that we can be fair to each other.

The children are writing the names of people who are showing fairness on pictures of the world, in our Reflection area. They are also writing names on the prayer leaves, for the Honey Bees to say a prayer for at the end of the day. Our prayer tree is usually very full at the end of the day! Thank you, Honey Bees!
