Year 1 and 2: Crickets

Welcomtthe Crickets!

Hello and welcome!

*Meet the Cricket grown-ups*

The grown-ups in the Cricket class are Mrs Walton, Mrs Gill

and Mrs Parkinson.

We all love teaching the Crickets and we are so proud of their achievements!

If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you!

*Our Christian Value for the term*

Friendship

Our school value for this term is ‘Friendship’.

Trust, feeling comfortable in each other’s company, being able to share joys and sorrows are all features of friendship and these are things of immense value. True friendship enables each person to grow and ensures that the unique individuality of each person is recognised. All this echoes the value placed by God on the preciousness of each person.

‘A friend loves at all times.’ (Proverbs 17:17)

 *Our Learning this Term*

We love learning in the Crickets!

This term our topic is 'Squeak, Meow, Roar!'

Soft fur, sharp claws and twitching whiskers...What's your favourite animal? One that squeaks? One that barks? Or maybe one that scurries or slithers?

From pets at home to animals at the zoo, let's find out what animals like to eat and where they like to sleep.

Do you know how to look after a rabbit? A cat? Or even a tiger?

Find out about the enormous crocodile.

Can you make a food chain to show who eats who?

Who is a herbivore and who is a carnivore?

After all this work, curl up and take a nap.... a cat nap!
