Year 1 and 2: Crickets

Welcomtthe Crickets!

Hello and welcome!

*Meet the Cricket grown-ups*

The grown-ups in the Cricket class are Mrs Walton, Mrs Gill

and Mrs Parkinson.

We all love teaching the Crickets and we are so proud of their achievements!

If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you!

*Our Christian Value for the term*

Our school value for this term is ‘Respect’.

Being respectful is one of the key ingredients to being the best person you can be. “Every human being, of whatever origin, of whatever station, deserves respect. We must each respect others even as we respect ourselves.” The children are learning how we can show respect to others, to animals and to objects, and how it feels to have respect shown to ourselves.

“A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
Dr. Seuss

 *Our Learning this Term*

We love learning in the Crickets!

This term we are inventing!!

This term the Crickets are getting their thinking caps on and are inventing!!

We are using the book , 'If I built a house' by Chris Van Dusen to design our own rooms in our designed house!  Look out for any home improvemnts they may want to carry out!!!  How do you fancy a slide from the bedroom to the kitchen?  Or a trampoline in your lounge!!!

The children will also learn about toy inventions from the past and things around the home too.

We will be taking ideas from the great inventors Wallace and Gromit to design our own bedrooms with some added gadgets!

The children will continue with MSP this term, focussing on inclusive sports, such as sitting volley ball and boccia.

We are so excited about this very hands on topic this term, with a trip to the Lincolnshire Life Museum too!
