Welcomtthe Dragonflies!

Hello and welcome!

*Meet the Dragonflies grown-ups*

The grown-ups in the Dragonfly class are Mrs Walton, Mrs Kemal, Mrs Uzzell and Miss Jones. We love teaching the Dragonflies and we are so proud of their achievements!

*Our Christian Value for the term*

Friendship is an undisputed value in our society, with children often spending more time with their friends than with family.

Jesus tells stories of the heavenly banquet to which all are invited. The barriers between people are broken down in a loving community around God. Jesus had stern words to say to those who refused to recognise that all are included in this community of friendship.

Trust, feeling comfortable in each other’s company, being able to share joys and sorrows are all features of friendship and these are things of immense value. True friendship enables each person to grow and ensures that the unique individuality of each person is recognised. All this echoes the value placed by God on the preciousness of each person.

“Why did you do all this for me?' he asked. 'I don't deserve it. I've never done anything for you.'

'You have been my friend,' replied Charlotte. 'That in itself is a tremendous thing.”

*Our Learning for this term*

We are so excited for our learning this term!

Our topic this term is, Squeak, Miaow, Roar!

We will be learning all about animals!

As part of our science we will learn where animals live, what animals off-spring are and how they survive.  We will learn how humans need to keep safe and healthy.  Finding about healthy diets and keeping ourselves clean and healthy and what it means to have a 'healthy lifestyle'.

As part of our music learning we will be using the piece of music Peter and the Wolf.

Our Geography learning will focus on different locations around the world.  The children will learn to use plans and maps and learn about contrasting locations to Lincoln in different parts of the world.

As part of PE we will be working with the Lincoln City Football Club outreach team, IMPS as part of our PE learning.
