Reception: Honey Bees

Welcome to the Honey Bee Class!

Hello and welcome!

*Meet the Honeybee grown-ups*

The grown-ups in the Honeybee class are Ms Holman and Mrs Lower. Ms Holman is the class teacher on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Mrs Lower is the class teacher on Thursdays and Fridays. Miss Wratten is the teaching assistant in the Honeybees!

We all love teaching the Honeybees and we are so proud of their achievements!

In the Honeybee class, Ms Holman and Mrs Lower choose someone to be the Honeybee of the Day. This is a Honeybee who has tried especially hard with their learning that day. The Honeybee of the Day leads the class prayer at the end of the day, gives out reading folders at the end of the day and takes the register to the school office. We really enjoy the responsibility! The Honeybees all try their best to be the Honeybee of the Day - but equally, they are thrilled for whoever is chosen - and we hear cries of 'well done' from everyone!

Even though we are some of the youngest children in the school, we still enjoy having lots of responsibility, like taking the register to Miss White in the office, tidying away our toys and games, when we have finished playing with them and washing our own plates and cups from the Snack Bar. Fabulous!

*Our Learning this Week!*

We love learning in the Honeybees!

The Honeybees are loving our 'in the moment' planning. We follow the interests of different children each week. Wow! It has been AMAZING!

*Our Christian Value for the term*

Our school value this half term is 'Justice' so we are  learning all about what justice means, and how we can help to make things fair in the world.

Children are invited to write the names of people who demonstrate justice in our Reflection area. The children can also write names on prayer leaves, if they would like the class to say a prayer for anyone at the end of the day. Our prayer tree is usually very full by the end of the day! Thank you, Honeybees!
